Dustin Poirier is ready to fight Conor McGregor for a third time. The American needed less than two rounds to stop his rival in their rematch last month as he avenged his KO defeat seven years earlier.
McGregor immediately demanded an immediate trilogy bout - and wants the lightweight title to be on the line in May. The 155lb belt is still held by Khabib Nurmagomedov but the Dagestani is expected to give it up shortly, leaving Poirier in pole position to fight for the vacant strap.
And he has indicated he is willing to face McGregor for the prize, tweeting: "You know we are going to do it a third time." Poirier's message comes after McGregor analysed his defeat with a lengthy post on Instagram.
