Former Manchester United winger Nani has revealed how he went from begging for food on the streets of Lisbon to become an Old Trafford superstar.
The Portuguese international endured a tough childhood, living in slum conditions that often left him on the verge of starvation.
Football became Nani's salvation. First he signed for Sporting Lisbon and then he followed in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps by moving to United in a £23million in the summer of 2007.
