Nando’s has slashed food and drinks prices so customers can get their favourites for less. The “cheeky” chicken chain announced that trips will be less costly as the government slashed VAT from 20% to 5%.The selected menu items that are included in the promotion include halloumi sticks and dip, which have dropped down from £3.95 to £3.45.Peri-Peri chicken has also seen a price reduction of more than 12%.A 1/4 chicken falls from £4.25 to £3.70, while half a spicy bird can be picked up for 95p less than usual at £9.80.Sadly, alcoholic drinks aren’t included as tax hasn’t been cut on booze.These aren’t the only discounts you can find at Nando’s in the coming weeks.The restaurant giant has signed up to the government’s new “Eat Out to Help Out”.
