Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United forwards should be offering more during their toughest fixtures. That is the view of Red Devils legend Andy Cole, who managed 121 goals in 275 appearances for the club between 1995 and 2001 after joining from rivals Newcastle.
Cole has been left frustrated by a particular trait that concerns each of Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and especially Anthony Martial, and made his thoughts clear after their FA Cup exit at the hands of Chelsea.
The former England striker believes that the front line should be more versatile during matches, including coming in short and going in behind - before naming Rashford’s best position as being on the wing.
