Naga Munchetty cuts off BBC Breakfast reporter in Kyiv for 'safety' as loud bang heard

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty had to cut off reporter James Waterhouse for "safety" reasons after a loud bang was heard behind him.

James was updating on the frightful situation in Ukraine as Russia continue to invade it's cities with powerful military attacks.

During his report, James became weary and shot a look over his shoulder as rumble landed not too far away which sparked panic in the studio.He had been speaking about what could happen if Ukraine "should fall" and possible theories for Russian plans as the earthquake-like noise was heard.Looking terrified, he explained to BBC host's Naga, 47, and Charlie Stayt, 59: "See that's not really clear, we don't really know what that rumble was or what it sounds like."Host Naga, 47, said: "James, I think we should say goodbye at this moment in time just for your safety as well."James Waterhouse, thank you so much for reporting and for what you and the team are brining us."She added: "Take care." Last week, Naga faced criticism during an interview with a Ukrainian solider as fans claimed she'd asked a "stupid" question for Kyiv solider fighting against Russian forces.Former tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky appeared via video link for the segment, with Naga adding: "I mean, this is heartbreaking. "I wonder what conversations you are able to have with your wife and what she is able to tell your children?"Sergiy replied: "Well, she was upset, we're talking now.

I just hope that one day she will forgive me for what I've done. I'm not sure I would forgive myself but it was a no-win scenario."Naga asked: "That conversation must have been very difficult.
