Kim Jong-un ’s 20-day absence from the public eye has ended. And his return is raising almost as many questions as his disappearance did.
North Korean state media didn’t make any reference to Kim’s mysterious vanishing act when they showed the dictator happily strolling around the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertiliser Factory factory northeast of the capital Pyongyang.
That only heightened speculation about where he might have been for the past three weeks. If Kim has been ill, he certainly hasn’t suffered the kind of weight loss you would associate with a prolonged hospital stay.
