The details of the appalling case emerged from a court in New Zealand's North Island. The New Zealand Herald reports the Northland woman sexually abused her own daughter in sex sessions with the mother’s boyfriend.
The paper said in court, the mum tried to blame her own childhood abuse and "abandonment issues" - adding she was worried about being dumped if she did not comply with his sexual requests.
However, the judge told her that the case was "appalling", "inexplicable" and "ugly". The woman was granted permanent name suppression to protect her daughter.
