Two teenagers have admitted killing a woman after pushing a log weighing more than five stone over the edge of a cliff. Mum-of-four Victoria Schafer, 44, was taking photographs with students in Ohio State Park when she was crushed.
The photography tutor died from her injuries after the log plummeted 75ft down a cliff on September 2 last year. Jaden Churchheus and Jordan Buckley, who were both 16 at the time, pushed the log "to be funny" and said they did not intend to hurt anyone.
They both pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after murder and reckless homicide charges were dropped. Addressing Mrs Schafer's family, Buckley said, Inside Edition reports: "I understand that my actions that day has caused your family's life to change. "
