But mum Cheryl Jones was having none of it and went for the burglar after she had been asleep in an upstairs bedroom with her two children.
Shouting “who the f*** are you?” the heroic mum fought Rimmer, 37, of Max Road, Dovecot, and managed to expose the coward’s face.
She sunk her fingernails into him – capturing vital DNA evidence ≠ before yelling: "Go on you f***ing k***heads – the police are on their way." Liverpool Crown Court heard Miss Jones' account of the terrifying ordeal as it unfolded at around 12.20am, on December 5
