A mum savagely broke her daughter's nose in a furious spat over a boxing match. The woman has now been ordered to pay her child £500 in damages and has been prohibited from seeing her for a year.

Theresa Carroll, aged 39, grabbed her student daughter Chantelle Caroll, 19, by the hair and struck her in the face after the teenager kicked up a fuss over her inviting friends over to watch the televised Anthony Joshua boxing fight close to Christmas 2020.

Manchester Evening News reports that during the brawl, which occurred whilst the family had to abide by Tier 2 Covid-19 restrictions, retail worker Carroll rang the police to claim that her daughter was being aggressive.
