Person rushed to hospital after they were cut from car after smash at petrol station

A person was rushed to hospital on Tuesday evening after they were cut from a car in Bolton. The smash, which involved a car and a van, happened beside the Shell petrol station on Crompton Way.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 6pm and remained in attendance for over two hours. Onlookers reported seeing the passenger being given oxygen at the scene before they were transported away. Trauma technicians from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue services worked alongside paramedics to treat them.

Pictures from the scene also showed the North West Ambulance Service and police in attendance. Their condition is not yet known, but Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more information.
