Four taken to hospital after car smashes through front window of bridal shop

Four men have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a bridal shop in Radcliffe. Emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving three cars in Stand Lane at about 6.45pm this evening (Tuesday, February 22).

One of the cars, a BMW, ploughed through the front window of Alison Jane Bridal Couture after another vehicle crashed into its side. Four men were taken to hospital but the M.E.N. understands that none of them were seriously injured. Police closed Stand Lane at the junction with New Road as a result of the incident.

In a tweet, GMP Traffic said: "We currently have a closure at the junction of New Rd / Stand Lane in Radcliffe. "3 vehicle RTC where one vehicle hit the side of this BMW forcing it into the front of a shop. "Driver of offending Skoda will be reported to court." A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) added: "At approximately 6.45pm on Tuesday, February 22, two fire engines from Whitefield and Broughton, as well as a technical response unit from Ashton-under-Lyne attended a road traffic collision on Stand Lane in Radcliffe. "The incident involved two cars and one of the vehicles had gone into the front window of a commercial premises. "Four men were conveyed to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
