A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Middleton. Emergency services were called to the scene in Rochdale Road at about 7.05pm on Wednesday (March 9).

The M.E.N. understands that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made, say police. In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called around 7.05pm on Wednesday 9 March 2022 to Rochdale Road, Middleton a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. "Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital. "No arrests were made."
