Two men have been arrested after a 'brawl' led to a stabbing in Bury town centre. A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after emergency services rushed out to the scene at around 5am on Sunday morning (March 28).

Eyewitnesses reported a huge 'scuffle' in the area before a seeing a man 'drop to the floor'. Greater Manchester Police says the victim suffered a stab wound and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers have arrested two men, aged 23 and 34, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). The pair have been bailed while police continue their enquiries, and anyone with information is being urged to come forward. Emergency services attended and a 24-year-old male was taken to hospital with a stab wound. He remains in stable condition. "Two 23-year-old males and a 34-year-old male were all arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
