The MTV Movie & TV Awards are coming back. After the 2020 awards ceremony was pushed back to December amid the pandemic, the 2021 ceremony will be airing live from Los Angeles on May 16, the company announced Thursday (March 11).
And on the next night (May 17), MTV will broadcast the inaugural Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted (working title) special, which celebrates “the jaw-dropping, no-rules, drama-filled moments from our favorite reality shows.” Hosts, nominees, performers, presenters and additional details for both events have not yet been revealed by MTV.
Last year, Vanessa Hudgens hosted the 90-minute special, and Sia, Travis Barker and Steve Aoki all performed during the show.
