COMEDY show Mrs Brown's Boys is poised to make a TV comeback next year with a mini-series, one of its stars has confirmed. The series follows the lives of Mrs Brown - played by comedian Brendan O'Carroll - an Irish mother and her four children who live in Dublin suburb Finglas.

Despite the show having annual Christmas specials, it's not had a full series in almost ten years. However, Brendan's daughter and co-star Fiona O'Carroll has officially confirmed the show will be back with a mini-series in 2023.

Speaking to the RTÉ Guide, Fiona - who plays Maria Brown - the wife of Mrs Brown's son Dermot, made the announcement. "In October we'll be filming Mrs Brown: two Christmas specials and the first of a mini-series of four episodes, the other three early next year," she revealed.
