Mourners have today gathered to pay their respects as the funeral of Sir David Amess was held in Southend. The MP was stabbed to death while holding a constituency surgery at Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea on October 15.
Hundreds of people lined the streets as a procession was held to honour the life of the Conservative MP in his Essex constituency.
