Morrisons issues alert to all shoppers who drive to supermarkets

The retailer is making changes to its car parks across the UK in a bid to be more environmentally friendly. The chain is expanding the UK’s largest supermarket network of ‘next generation’ rapid electric charging points for electric vehicles, allowing customers to charge the majority of cars from flat to full battery in under 45 minutes.

The announcement coincides with comments made today by CMA Chief Andrea Costelli who said: “We urgently need to accelerate the roll-out of electric vehicle charging points to reach net zero” The ‘next generation’ rapid chargers can charge an electric car up to six times
