There's set to be fireworks on the famous cobbles as Daniel's former love interest Nicky Wheatley returns. Former sex worker Nicky, who helped widower Daniel to navigate through his grief following the death of his beloved wife Sinead, will soon be back on our screens, played by Kimberly Hart-Simpson.
And there's a frosty reception in store for Nicky from Daniel's current girlfriend Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan. "She ends up making everything about her," she told us. "Daisy being Daisy won't go about it the right way but it does come from a place of fear and a place of wanting to be with him, wanting to protect what they have." Charlotte, who arrived in Weatherfield in November 2020 as the stepmother of Rovers landlady Jenny Connor, says she's looking forward to locking horns with Nicky in an 'old school' showdown. "It's what Corrie is known for, its strong women showdowns," she said. "So hopefully we can scrap these restrictions and get it done old school style, that would be lovely. "She's not a character that would roll over and take it." Daisy finally got together with teacher Daniel recently after they had an on-off secret romance in the soap for months.
Passion spilled over earlier this month after they traded insults and they ended up kissing. Daniel then ended his relationship with new girlfriend, Lydia Chambers.
