The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, is no stranger to spending big as he prepares to buy Newcastle United.
A takeover is close to being completed with the Premier League currently running through the Owners’ and Directors’ Test. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PiF) have agreed a £300m buyout from Mike Ashley which will see them secure an 80 per cent stake of Newcastle.
Bin Salman, who has a net worth of around £7billion, would not be expected to be a regular at St James’ Park. However, he will be prepared to invest in the club in areas such as the transfer market.
And the cost of buying Newcastle is practically a drop in the ocean for the Saudi Crown Prince. He owns a French chateau worth a staggering £230m,
