Mike Tyson is set to take on Evander Holyfield for a third time in the near future. Iron Mike marked a successful exhibition comeback against Roy Jones Jr in November as he dominated a fight which ended up as a draw - generating a mammoth £60m with more than 1.6m pay-per-view purchases.
That bout has paved the way for the 54-year-old to reignite his rivalry with Holyfield, who himself has been training ahead of a proposed comeback at the age of 58.The pair met in the ring in both 1996 and 1997, the older of the two coming out on top on both actions via TKO and then Tyson’s disqualification for biting.
Holyfield expressed an interest in taking on his old rival before the bout with Jones Jr was agreed, and his interest has only increased on.
