Prince Andrew could be set for millions in taxpayer's compensation if he is forced to leave his home in Windsor.There have been growing calls for the 61 year old to leave his residence at the £30million Royal Lodge following his out-of-court settlement with Virginia Guiffre, who alleged he had sexually assaulted her.
And the Duke Of York, who continues to deny the claims, could profit financially if he gives up his 31-bedroom home, documents suggest.
According to the 2005 National Audit Office report, Andrew at the time was entitled to be repaid for a £7.5million refurbishment he funded after moving into the property in 2005.
While the repayment will now be considerably less than the full £7.5m, he could still be set to receive a generous sum in the millions.
