Legendary French chef Michel Roux passed away last night (Wednesday, March 12) surrounded by his family at home in Bray, Berkshire.
He had been in the hospitality business since the mid-60s and still regularly appears on cookery programmes giving fellow chefs and those at home watching ideas of what delicous culinary dishes they can prepare.So how did the 79-year-old chef die?
Roux died last night with his family around him and this morning, they have released a statement.They said: “It is with deep sadness that the Roux family announces the passing of our beloved grandfather, father, brother and uncle, Michel Roux OBE."The family would like to thank everyone for their support during his illness.
