Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt says Michael Schumacher and his family are "working towards" the Formula 1 legend's first public appearance in seven years.
Seven-time world champion Schumacher continues to recover from the brain injuries he suffered in a skiing accident in the French Alps in December 2013, after which he has withdrawn from public life as his condition has been kept as a closely guarded secret.
Todt - the former team principal at Ferrari who now works as President of the FIA, F1's governing body - told the Mail on Sunday that he paid a visit to see Schumacher as he continues to recover in Geneva, Switzerland. "I saw Michael last week," said the Frenchman. "He is fighting.
