Celebrity chefs are paying tribute to Michel Roux who has died at the age of 79. Roux passed away at his family home in Berkshire surrounding by his loved ones following a long battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
TV chef James Martin said he was ‘broken’ by the news and that he would see Michel ‘soon’. ‘Broken and so sad to let you know we have lost a legend and me a friend…words cannot describe what this man did for me in my life…he taught, he listened, he advised and he strengthened every part of what I do…Michel I love you, always have and always will…,’ he wrote on Twitter. ‘Take care my friend and I will see you soon.’ Chef Ken Hom posted: ‘Greatly sadden by the death of legendary French-born chef & restaurateur #MichelRoux
