Manchester United coach Michael Carrick has admitted that his former side made a mistake in not giving Donny van de Beek regular game time.The Netherlands international was signed by United in 2020 but never managed to tie down a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting eleven.Van de Beek has since signed for Everton on loan in what should allow him to finally adjust to life in the Premier League, now being managed by Frank Lampard.And Carrick is pleased to see that the 24-year-old is flourishing under the management of his former international team-mate.
