Former Liverpool star Maxi Rodriguez has admitted he lied to Rafa Benitez about being able to speak English in order to seal a move to Anfield in 2010.
Rodriguez enjoyed three years at Liverpool after joining from Atletico Madrid, scoring 17 goals in 73 appearances for the Reds.
He was part of the side who clinched the 2011/12 League Cup under Kenny Dalglish, seeing off Cardiff on penalties in the Wembley showpiece.
