Sir Kenny Dalglish released from hospital and praises NHS staff after coronavirus test

Sir Kenny Dalglish has thanked NHS workers across the country after being discharged from hospital following his positive COVID-19 test.

The Liverpool icon was first admitted on Wednesday for treatment on gallstones. Dalglish was then given a routine coronavirus test during his stay and tested positive, despite showing no symptoms, forcing him to be kept in over the next few days.

The 69-year-old had already been self-isolating of his own accord before the diagnosis due to his age. But Dalglish is now on the mend, and the football legend praised NHS staff as he released a statement upon his release.
