Martin Lewis has issued advice to more than 400,000 households, after Ofgem confirmed the collapse of two energy firms this week.
Green Network Energy and Simplicity Energy have ceased trading - leaving thousands of customers without a supplier. Green Network Energy provided around 360,000 domestic customers with gas and electricity, while Simplicity Energy had around 50,000 customers.
Ofgem, the energy regulator, said it would protect the customers of both failed businesses, including their credit balances.
