The financial expert said motorists stand to save a small fortune on annual and monthly policies - and it's all to do with the day they choose to renew.
Martin's helpful advice came in this week's Money Saving Expert newsletter. In his guide, he ran though "21 pain-free ways to slash your spending and save (or gain) £1,000s in 2021".
One trick included how to knock hundreds off car insurance by simply renewing on the correct day. What's more, one person saved £684 when following the advice.
