Michael Carrick insists the Manchester United players are looking forward to working under Ralf Rangnick. Rangnick is still waiting to receive his work permit to officially take over as interim manager and could be in charge for the Premier League visit of Crystal Palace on Sunday.

United have seven league fixtures in December and have won only one of their last eight games in the league, leaving them 12 points adrift of leaders Chelsea. "Players adapt, there are different skills and styles you have to have," Carrick said. "We have played different styles since we came here.
