Ralf Rangnick will take charge of his first Manchester United match on Sunday and the setup of his first team may not immediately answer questions about his short-term reign.
The new interim manager hasn't been in the hot seat since he returned to RB Leipzig for a season in 2018-19, where he mostly stuck to a back four but wasn't afraid to go to a back three if required and would repeatedly change the layout of his midfield and attack.
Only time will tell what formation Rangnick believes will get the best out of his players but with little time on the training pitch before the match with Crystal Palace, he may well stick to a formation that the team are used to as he settles into the role.
