Premier League footballers should be doing more to help out those in need amid the coronavirus outbreak. That is the view of former Manchester United and Celtic star Lou Macari, who reckons multi-millionaire players should be making more donations.

Macari, 70, has put himself on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19 in running the Lou Macari Centre for the homeless in Stoke.

But they are in desperate need of support with all 51 places currently being taken up at the centre. Local firms have been offering what they can in recent days with the likes of Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Nando’s sending food.
