The 32-year-old had been frozen out at United before he was rescued by Boca Juniors just over 12 months ago.But Rojo was unable to inspire his new club to the Argentinian title - and his woes continued on Sunday when he was left with egg on his face during Boca Juniors 2-2 draw with Arsenal Sarandi.With the scores level at 1-1, Rojo thought he'd fired home the winning goal for his side after converting a 74th minute penalty.
But just moments after the Argentine defender marked his strike with a passionate celebration, Boca Juniors gave away an awful goal to ensure they were immediately pegged back.
It's the latest setback in a tough few years for Rojo, who arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2014 after a successful stint in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon.
