Leigh. Emergency services were called to Coronation Drive, in the Higher Folds area of the town, at about 10pm on Friday.They discovered a man, in his 50s, had been injured after being hit by a car.
He was taken to Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, in Wigan, where he received treatment for his injuries. Following the incident, eyewitnesses spotted a number of police vehicles and ambulances on the residential street.A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to Coronation Drive, in Leigh, at about 10pm on Friday to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian."We attended with a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and an advanced paramedic."We took one patient, a male in his 50s, to Royal Albert Edward.
