Estate agents have had to get inventive to keep both their staff and house-hunters safe, often filming pre-made video tours or taking part in Zoom calls rather than holding in-person viewings.

Student Charlie Lucas-Smith was faced with this when looking for a house for his second year at university and made an agreement for a property after taking part in a virtual walk-through tour.
