EXCLUSIVE: Paul Downs Colaizzo is in talks to direct and rewrite Paramount Pictures’ Harbinger, stepping in for Wes Ball. Ball was forced to step down to focus on the next Planet of the Apes pic, which he is deep in pre-production on. Neal Moritz and Toby Jaffe are producing for Original Film. Dan Mintz is producing for Valiant Entertainment. The project is in development at the studio.

20th Century Studios said today that its animated comedy The Bob’s Burgers Movie will debut on Hulu and HBO Max in the U.S. on July 12, coming to Disney+ under the Star banner in territories including Canada (July 12), European (excluding Poland), the Middle East and Africa (July 13). The film will premiere on Star+ in Latin America on July 20. The studio also today unveiled a scene from the pic, featuring the song “Sunny Side Up Summer,” in support of its release. And although the movie acts as a fresh point of entry, at the Tuesday premiere of the film at the El Capitan theater in Los Angeles, the voice actors behind the Belchers revealed the TV episodes they’d recommend for newcomers before seeing the film.H. Jon Benjamin and John Roberts, the voices behind the central couple Bob and Linda, both recommended that viewers start with one of the many Thanksgiving episodes the show has produced, which acts as a window into the dynamics of the quirky but lovable family.“I would probably go to one of the Thanksgiving episodes as a primer for what the family is like and the dynamic between them,” Benjamin told Variety on the red carpet of the premiere.
