Proposals are supposed to be surprise (at least they're better that way).Usually the groom-to-be would reveal details to a close friend, while others might not tell a soul until it happens. One guy recently had his big moment ruined by a childhood friend after he opened his gob about his upcoming proposal. Now he's so furious with his actions that he's refusing to invite him to his wedding.Posting his story anonymously on Reddit, the fella explained how his friend often says things to get a reaction from others.
He revealed how he had conversations about marriage with his partner of three years where she's even sent the ring she likes. The man said: "I got her the ring of her dreams and planned a whole weekend in the mountains – which is her favourite place. "Her parents and mine travelled to be there but stayed apart from us until after the proposal so she wouldn't get suspicious. "The only people who came with us were a few of our friends so I could call it a friend's getaway."One of the friends who came with us is my childhood best friend. "We're very close, and he knew the stipulation that my girlfriend did not know when the proposal was going to happen."The groom-to-be added: "He also likes to say things to get reactions out of people, and it has caused us the drift apart in the past. "I thought he had grown out of this as he has seemed to mellow out."But about 20 minutes before the big moment, the man received a tip-off from another friend that his best mate had shared details. Then after proposing, the man got confirmation from his now-fiancée before confronting his friend who did it because it was "funny".The man said one of his friends, who is a photographer, agreed to take pictures as a gift.
