A man has been left blinded for life and another has been hospitalised after they were attacked by a stranger who threw a cup of what police believe is acid over them.
The pair were walking down a street in London when a man lobbed a cup of "corrosive liquid" over then and ran away. Both victims were taken to hospital as a result of the attack, with one of the men now suffering permanent sight loss, police said.
The two men said they did not know the suspect, but claimed the same attacker turned up at one victim's house two months earlier and smacked him in the face.
He allegedly arrived at the man's home address claiming to have a letter for him, then punched him with a bike chain wrapped around his fist.
