Manchester United and Liverpool share one of the biggest rivalries in world football, with the two clubs the most successful English teams based on trophies won.
The rivalry between the two is so fierce that no player has transferred directly between the clubs since Phil Chisnall's move from United to Liverpool back in 1964.
Other players have played for both clubs during their careers, such as Paul Ince and Michael Owen, but they spent time elsewhere before crossing the divide.
The closest a player has come to making the move directly from one rival to the other was Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze back in 2007.
