A man is fighting for his life after emergency services were called to a 'casualty on train tracks' at a railway station in Trafford.
Police and paramedics were called to the incident at Hale station at around 10.20am yesterday (Monday). A man was taken to hospital from the scene.
He remains there in a critical condition today, a spokesperson for British Transport Police has confirmed. READ MORE:Road shut after reports of person being hit by a car The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The train line between Altrincham and Northwich was blocked for some time after the incident yesterday. This affected services between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester in both directions, according to the National Rail website.
