A big great white."Taking to Twitter, the bereaved man who had worked as a scuba diving instructor with Simon in Thailand, said the incident had left him shocked.He said: "Saw a video someone shared earlier of a bloke being killed by a shark in Sydney, just found it's my mate/"Stupidly watched it about 10 times as well, proper shocked. "Proper bad, he was a good lad." Reacting to the friend's tragic news, many people rushed to pay their respects to Simon.
One said: "Saw that video, it's awful. So sad for the family and friends to have lost a loved one but to witness it like this is the stuff of nightmares." Another said: "Horrible news mate sorry about your loss." Simon had toured Afghanistan with the RAF's 34 Squadron twice before he moved to Australia to pursue a career in scuba diving.
The keen outdoorsman grew up in Penzance , Cornwall and his family have since spoken of their shock that he was killed in the manner he was.
