suspicious package ’ found at a block of flats in Aberdeen. Police were forced to throw up a large cordon in the Sinclair Road area of the city as specialist bomb disposal officers raced to the scene.
Residents were evacuated from the area at around 5.25pm on Thursday as a safety precaution while several roads were blocked off.An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team made the 'suspicious' item safe before leaving the scene a short time later.Worried locals were allowed back into their homes at around 10.40pm.Police Scotland have now confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
