Police have closed off several streets in Manchester after a 49-year-old man suffered 'life changing' injuries in a shocking knife attack.
Emergency services were called at 4.10am today after the victim was stabbed in his arms and legs. It happened in the Cheetham Hill area of the city, the Manchester Evening News reports, with the man suffering "appalling" injuries.
Detectives said the attack had been carried out with "serious violence", with the victim in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
