Residents in Glasgow's West End have been evacuated from their homes tonight after emergency services swarmed the street.Polwarth Street and surrounding roads have been locked down with a police cordon now in place.
A neighbour told the Daily Record he was informed by firefighters that it was a 'hazmat incident'.The eyewitness said: "Fireman told me it was a 'hazmat incident' as they were putting up the cordon."The whole of Polwarth Street closed off now.
Closed from Clarence Drive right up to Novar Drive and one street down and up from it. "Some residents are out in the street at the block the incident appears to be in.
