The eight-year-old attracted some interest from punters just before the start of the race, which saw her odds fall from 33-1 to just 11-1.
Her mid-race jobs fell to a massive 1,000-1 as she fell off the pace with £173 put on her with Betfair, meaning the bookies had to pay out an eye-watering £173,000 for the winning tickets.
The 3-1 favourite Kristian Goingwel looked to be cruising to victory, but Johnnys Girl made up the ground to win by a length and a half.
