Lucky Lotto player scoops £8.9m jackpot - with Brits urged to check their tickets

Two Brits have become millionaires after Wednesday night's Lotto jackpot was scooped by one lucky winner. The National Lottery confirmed one ticket-holder won the £8.9 million jackpot.

And a second player scooped the second prize of £1m for matching five numbers and the bonus ball. Both are now urged to come forward and claim their fortunes with all players told to check their numbers.

The winning numbers were 09, 12, 28, 31, 46 and 50, and the Bonus Ball was 10. Saturday's estimated jackpot is now £3.8 million.
