LOOSE Women is under threat of an Ofcom investigation after Saira Khan called the UK "a totalitarian state" as she ranted about lockdown.

The TV presenter, 50, got frustrated during a heated debate about the devastating impacts of lockdown. She claimed the country shouldn't be punished because of a "minority" of rule-breakers.

But her comments sparked 25 complaints to the TV regulator, which will now determine whether it will escalate the investigation.

Speaking on November 2, Saira said: "I’m not saying I have the answer, I’m giving a different approach. "As far as I’m concerned, charities are losing money, suicides are going through the roof, people have lost the opportunity to have cancer treatments.
