HGV driver in tears watching back fireball crash he caused while surfing adult sites
jailed for causing deadly crash that looked "like a bomb had gone off" has tearfully said he regrets using his phone at the wheel of his huge vehicle on a busy motorway.Ion Nicu Onut, who has a wife and daughter, was jailed for for eight years and 10 months after causing a horror crash that killed three motorists while he was "surfing adult dating sites" in July last year.Onut was driving a 3.5 tonne Scania LGV, carrying fertiliser, when he ploughed into queuing traffic on the A1 (M), near junction 61 at Bowburn, County Durham.READ MORE: Surgeons hand shooting victim's family plastic bag containing one of his kidneysPaul Mullen, 51, from Washington, Tyne and Wear and Seaham couple Elaine Sullivan, 59, and David Daglish, 57, were tragically killed in the crash.Now, in a 20-minute video released by Durham Constabulary, Onut has apologised to the families of those he killed from his prison cell."When I saw the videos I just...I don't know, I can't explain it, he said.
