Colleen Smith says she finds solo travel "liberating" while her young children are cared for by her parents and their dad back at home.
Since separating from her partner back in 2022, the former housewife has been on solo trips to Portugal, Spain, Morocco and Peru - believing other mums judge her for her free-spirited nature. Colleen has plans to visit Chile and South Africa in 2024 and for safety she says she likes to use group travel company, WeRoad, a solo adventure travel firm which recently launched in Manchester.
